Occupied WB, ALRAY - The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Wednesday at dawn detained at least five Palestinian citizens during raids targeted multiple areas in the occupied West Bank towns and cities and Jerusalem.
Local sources reported that the IOF forces detained two youth Subhi Zaid after breaking into his house in the Jalazoun refugee camp in Ramallah, adding that the occupation forces also detained Baha Ghrouf from his house in Jericho.
In addition, the sources said, the IOF forces detained three youths from Jerusalem’s town of Silwan, named Mahdi Jaber, Sultan Sarhan, and Muhammed Shloudi.
Israeli occupation forces routinely carry out arrest raids in the West Bank. Around 40 percent of Palestinian men living in the occupied territories have been detained by Israel at some point in their lives.
According to Palestinian figures, over 4,500 Palestinians, including 40 women and 170 children, are currently languishing in Israeli detention jails.
