Jerusalem, ALRAY-Israeli occupation forces (IOF) handed on Wednesday a Palestinian citizen a notice ordering him to evict his house and land in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem.

Local sources reported that the Israeli occupation authorities gave Mahmoud Salhia until Thursday to evacuate his home and land to build a school for Israeli settlers only.

Salhia stressed that he owns documents proving his ownership of the six-dunum plot of land.

Two years ago, the Israeli occupation authorities issued Salhia a confiscation notice against his land on the pretext of building public facilities.

The Israeli occupation resorts to the Public Facilities Law to force Palestinian Jerusalemites out of their lands.

Nearly 500 Palestinian Jerusalemites, living in 28 houses, in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood are facing forced eviction at the hands of Israeli settler groups that are in cahoots with Israeli courts, which have recently issued eviction orders against seven Palestinian families in the neighborhood
