Gaza, ALRAY - The Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza has recorded at least five deaths and 256 new Covid-19 cases after conducting 1,455 coronavirus tests over the past 24 hours.

In a report published Tuesday, the Ministry added that about 789 cases have recovered from the virus.

The total number of coronavirus cases that have been reported in the blockaded Gaza Strip since the spread of the virus has jumped to 182,649, including 5,801 confirmed cases, the Ministry pointed out.

About 175,300 Covid-19 patients have recovered, the Ministry continued, adding that the death toll has risen to 1,548.

The number of cases hospitalized due to the virus-related complications has reached 161, 108 of whom are in critical condition, according to the Ministry.

The Ministry indicated that around 768,590 coronavirus vaccine doses have arrived in the besieged Gaza Strip, adding that 471,614 people have received the vaccine.
