Nazareth, ALRAY - Israeli anti-settlement organization Peace Now has said that settlement in Hebron is the ugliest face of the Israeli occupation domination over the occupied Palestinian territories.

It pointed out that entire streets in the heart of the occupied West Bank city of Hebron were simply emptied of their Palestinian residents in favor of some hundreds of extremists.

“Of all places, president Herzog had chosen al-Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron to light the first candle of Hanukkah along with Itamar Ben-Gvir and his extremist friends,” the human rights organization added commenting on the Israeli President Isaac Herzog’s visit to al-Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron.

On Sunday evening, Israeli occupation President Isaac Herzog broke into al-Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron so as to celebrate Hanukkah festival, amidst strict military measures.

Before the visit, the Israeli occupation forces emptied the mosque of Palestinian worshipers and shut its gates before the citizens who gathered in its surroundings.
