Occupied Jerusalem, ALRAY - Dozens of heavily guarded Israeli settlers on Tuesday broke into the courtyards of the al-Aqsa Mosque Compound, via the Maghariba gate.

Department of Islamic Waqf in occupied Jerusalem said that at least 150 Israeli settlers broke into the al-Aqsa Mosque during the morning hours, and carried out provocative tours in its courtyards.

The department pointed out that the settlers received explanations on the alleged ‘Temple Mount’ and performed Talmudic Rituals in the eastern part of the mosque.

It added that Muslim worshipers and students who were present at the mosque defended it with chants and Takbeer (saying Allah is Greatest).

The al-Aqsa Mosque compound exposes on a daily basis to the storming of the Israeli settlers, at which the settlers perform Talmudic rituals and discrete the sanctuary of the mosque.

Israel seeks through its storming to the al-Aqsa to devout the temporal and spatial division of the mosque and to Judaize the occupied Palestinian city of Jerusalem.
