Nablus, ALRAY - The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Sunday at dawn detained a leading member affiliated to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) from the city of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank.
Local sources reported that the Israeli forces broke into the neighborhood of al-Makhfia, west of the city of Nablus, and detained 67-year-old ex-detainee Husam al-Rizza, a leading member of the PFLP.
Israeli occupation forces routinely carry out arrest raids in the West Bank. Around 40 percent of Palestinian men living in the occupied territories have been detained by Israel at some point in their lives.
According to Palestinian figures, over 4,800 Palestinians, including 34 women and 160 children, are currently languishing in Israeli detention jails.
