Ramallah, ALRAY - The Asra Media Office said Sunday that 11 coronavirus cases have been reported among Palestinian detainees in Israeli occupation prisons.
In a press statement, the Office pointed out that six of the infected detainees are being held in "Eshel" prison in the occupied Bir As-Saba city, while the other five are being incarcerated in "Ofer" prison to the west of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah.
There has been a surge in Covid-19 infections in Israeli occupation jails, which has put Palestinian detainees at risk, the Office explained.
The Office warned against the outbreak of the deadly virus inside "Eshel" prison, where a large number of sick and elderly Palestinian detainees are being held.
