Gaza, ALRAY -Dozens of Palestinians and peace activists took part in a vigil at Brooklyn College in New York to protest celebrations on campus to mark the so-called "Israel Independence Day."
The participants were joined by activists from Jewish organizations working in the US, who reject the Israeli occupation policies.
The participants raised the Palestinian flag and called on those who support the Israeli occupation to reconsider their position, which contributes to further attacks against the defenseless Palestinian people and deepens their difficult humanitarian conditions and tragedies.
Moreover, the participants rejected the celebrations of the so-called "Israel's Independence Day", which was established on the sufferings of the Palestinian people and the Israeli crimes and atrocities against them back in 1948, leading to the Palestinian Catastrophe “Nakba”.
The participants also rejected the ongoing violent attacks of the Israeli occupation authorities against the Palestinians, particularly those at the holy mosque of al-Aqsa and the occupied holy city of Jerusalem over the past month.
