Ramallah, ALRAY - More than 600 administrative detainees in Israeli occupation jails have been boycotting Israeli courts for the 177nd day in a row in protest against their administrative detention.
In response to their detention without charge or trial, the detainees have declared a comprehensive boycott for all judicial procedures relating to the policy of administrative detention.
The boycott includes the initial hearings to uphold the administrative detention order, as well as appeal hearings and later sessions at the Supreme Court.
The Palestinian Prisoners’ Movement in Israeli occupation jails has declared its full support for the decision of the administrative detainees in refusing to show up for their trial sessions.
The movement called upon all administrative detainees in all Israeli occupation jails to stick to this decision and be patient until achieving the goal of abolishing the systematic policies of administrative detention.
close to 680 Palestinians are currently being held under “Israel’s” illegal policy of administrative detention, under which the detainees can be held for renewable six-month periods without charge or trial.
