An elderly Palestinian woman was injured by Israeli occupation forces and others suffered suffocation on tear gas on Saturday while standing in a gathering denouncing the violations of an Israeli settler who brought a bulldozer to the village of Kisan, east of Bethlehem, and caused damage to the citizens’ livestock and lands.

According to a local source, Palestinian citizens in Kisan organized a gathering condemning the use of a bulldozer by an Israeli settler to loot their lands and expand the settlements. The Israeli forces then attacked them by firing tear gas canisters and stun grenades, injuring an elderly woman, Sa’da Ebayyat, 65, in the foot, after which she was taken to hospital, while others suffered from suffocation on tear gas.

Moreover, Israeli forces raided the homes of Palestinian citizens in Kisan and detained the head of the village council, Mousa Ebayyat, 33, as well as his son Hassan.

The village of Kisan has been witnessing a noticeable escalation of attacks by the Israeli occupation forces and settlers, by seizing lands belonging to Palestinian citizens and preventing farmers and sheepherders from reaching their lands.
