Occupied WB, ALRAY - The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Monday detained at least 16 Palestinian citizens during multiple raids across the occupied West Bank.

Local sources reported that the Israeli forces broke into the Dheisheh refugee camp in Bethlehem and detained six people including a woman.

The sources identified the detainees as Kareem Mustafa al-Atrash, his wife Ayda and their son Mohammed, brothers Omran and Jihad Issa M’ali, and Ma’li Ahmad M’ali.

In addition, the Israeli forces broke into the Jalazoun refugee camp in northern Ramallah and detained four people, named Issa Safi, Mustafa Kharoub, Ibrahim Qattash and Yusuf Abu Sharifa.

Also, the Israeli occupation forces detained three people from Ramallah’s town of Silwad. They were identified as Ta’lat and Mohammed Hammad and Mohammed Soboh.

As to the city of Qalqilya, the IOF broke into the Kafr Qaddum town, to the east of the city, and detained Sameer Burhum and Nihad Jom’a.

In occupied Jerusalem, the IOF detained citizen Musa al-Atrash.

Israeli occupation forces routinely carry out arrest raids in the West Bank. Around 40 percent of Palestinian men living in the occupied territories have been detained by Israel at some point in their lives.

According to Palestinian figures, about 4,500 Palestinians, including 32 women and 160 children, are currently languishing in Israeli detention jails.
