Jerusalem, ALRAY - Hundreds of Israeli settlers on Sunday morning broke into the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem to make the so-called "Tisha B'Av" holiday.
Local sources reported that Israeli settlers stormed into the Al-Aqsa compound through Al-Maghariba gate and toured its courtyards, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.
Last night, thousands of Israeli settlers, accompanied by extremist Israeli lawmaker Itamar Ben-Gvir, marched towards the Bab al-Amud area, where they performed religious rituals.
Meanwhile, Israeli media outlets reported that the Israeli occupation government approved the planned storming into the Al-Aqsa Mosque by hardline Israeli lawmakers and settlers as the Israeli occupation army continues its aggression on the besieged Gaza Strip.
In a press statement on Saturday evening, Hamas held the Israeli occupation fully responsible for the repercussions of the planned storming into the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Palestinian resistance movement called on Palestinian citizens of the West Bank, Jerusalem, and the Palestinian in the pre-1948 occupied territories to visit the Al-Aqsa compound and defend it against Israeli violations.
