Jerusalem, ALRAY - Al-Asra Media Office confirmed on Sunday that Palestinian detainee Sheikh Yousef al-Baz, 64, has continued his hunger strike for the fourth day in a row, in protest against his continued detention in the Israeli occupation prisons.

Al-Asra Office posted on Facebook saying that al-Baz has stopped drinking water as well, as part of his ongoing strike, and is still in Soroka Hospital, south of occupied Palestine, following the deterioration of his health condition two days ago.

It is noteworthy that the Israeli authorities have kept al-Baz in detention despite an earlier decision by the court to release him, and therefore he started his hunger strike.

Al-Baz, from the occupied Palestinian territories of 1948, is married and father of six children, and is the Imam of the Lod Grand Mosque, knowing that he was detained by Israeli forces on the 30th of April.
