Occupied WB, ALRAY - Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Monday at dawn waged a wide-scale campaign of raids and detention across multiple areas in the occupied West Bank towns and cities.
Local sources reported that the campaign resulted in detaining at least 23 Palestinian citizens, including ex-detainees and Hamas activists.
During the campaign, the sources indicated, confrontations were erupted in several areas between the IOF forces and the Palestinian youths who tried to defend their towns and cities from the repeated Israeli incursions.
Israeli occupation forces routinely carry out arrest raids in the West Bank. Around 40 percent of Palestinian men living in the occupied territories have been detained by Israel at some point in their lives.
According to Palestinian figures, about 4,500 Palestinians, including 32 women and 160 children, are currently languishing in Israeli detention jails.
