Jerusalem, ALRAY - The Israeli occupation military court sentenced Palestinian detainee Aws Mahmoud Ajjawi from Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank to 24 months in prison in addition to a fine of 2,000 Shekels.
Al-Asra Media Office stated that Israeli forces detained Ajjawi on the 18th of July 2021 after raiding his home and damaging its contents under the pretext of home searching, and then transferred him to be investigated at the Jalameh military detention center for a month before transferring him to Reymon prison.
In the same context, the Israeli occupation’s court also sentenced Palestinian detainee Bassel Ata from Ramallah to 52 months in prison in addition to a fine of 5,000 shekels.
Israeli forces detained Ata on the 12th of July 2020 after raiding the home of his relatives in Deir Abu Mesh’al, searching it and damaging its contents, before transferring him to investigation at the Ofer military center, and then to Almaskubiyeh detention center for a month and a half.
Al-Asra Media Office added that the Israeli occupation intelligence charged Ata with alleged participation in acts of resistance, and issued a verdict against him after postponing his trial several times.
