West Bank, ALRAY - The Israeli occupation authorities on Sunday afternoon handed a number of Palestinians notices ordering them to stop construction works on their homes in the West Bank village of Budrus in western Ramallah.
Local sources reported that Israeli occupation forces, escorted by Israeli occupation intelligence officers, broke into the eastern area of the village, raided several houses, some still under construction, and handed their owners stop-construction orders.
The occupied West Bank has seen an unprecedented surge in demolitions of Palestinian homes and structures by the Israeli occupation authorities under the pretext that they are built in Area "C" of the occupied West Bank or in close proximity to illegal Israeli settlements, military posts, and bypass roads.
