Jerusalem, ALRAY - Groups of fanatic Israeli settlers broke into the Al-Aqsa Mosque through Al-Magharbia gate, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.
The Jerusalem Islamic Waqf department said dozens of Israeli settlers raided the Al-Aqsa compound and toured its courtyards.
During the raid, the settlers listened to lectures about the alleged "temple" and performed religious rituals inside the Al-Aqsa courtyards.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation authorities imposed tight restrictions on Palestinian citizens of Jerusalem and the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948 seeking to enter the Al-Aqsa compound.
Local activists called for the Palestinians to intensify their presence at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in order to foil Israeli Judaisation schemes targeting the Muslim sacred site.
In a bid to impose a temporal and spatial division at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, Israeli settlers storm the Muslim compound on a near-daily basis.
