West Bank, ALRAY - The Israeli occupation military court of "Ofer" sentenced Wednesday Palestinian detainee Jamil al-Darawi to 50 months in jail and ordered him to pay a fine of 2,000 shekels ($615).
According to the Asra Media Office, the Israeli occupation authorities detained al-Darawi twice and imprisoned him for a total of 16 years.
On 15 November 2019, Israeli occupation forces re-detained him after storming his home in the occupied West Bank city of Bethlehem and confiscating cellphones, computers, his wife's car, and stealing some of his personal belongings.
Al-Darawi was moved to the "Etzion" detention facility and then to "Al-Maskobia" detention centre, where he had been subjected to harsh interrogation and all internationally-prohibited forms of torture for 40 days before being transferred to "Ofer" prison.
After jailing him for 33 months, the Israeli occupation authorities issued al-Darawi a 50-month prison sentence and a fine of 2,000 shekels ($615).
