Detainee Aby Humaid moved to Assaf Harofeh Hospital in critical condition

West Bank, ALRAY - Commission of detainees and ex-detainees’ affairs reported on Tuesday that IPS moved urgently the detainee Naser Abu Humaid,49, to Assaf Harofeh Hospital, after his health deteriorated seriously.

 

The commission said in a statement that the detainee Abu Humaid felt felt very sharp pains in the chest, back and abdomen; thus, he is urgently transfered to the hospital.

 

It pointed out that the initial data indicated that Abu Hamid's body had become unresponsive to painkillers.

 

Abu Humaid subjected around the past years to systematic medical negligence; his health conditions start to deteriorated dramatically since August 2021 when he was diagnosed with a lung cancer as a result of the IPS’s delay in conducting medical examinations for him, until he reached the critical health stage he has reached today.

 

 

It is noteworthy that about 600 sick prisoners in the occupation prisons, including 23 prisoners, suffer from cancer and tumors of various degrees
