Nablus, ALRAY - Israeli settlers attacked late on Monday a Palestinian ambulance near the entrance to the illegal settlement of "Yitzhar", built on vast swathes of occupied Palestinian land in the occupied West Bank city of Nablus.

Ayman Jaradat, the ambulance driver, said that he was heading to Ramallah hospital when Israeli settlers hurled stones at his vehicle.

The ambulance suffered partial damage but no injuries were reported in the attack.

Palestinian Minister of Health Mai Al-Kaila condemned the ongoing Israeli assaults on Palestinian ambulances, paramedics, and health centres, the latest of which was Monday's attack by Israeli settlers on an ambulance in southern Nablus.

"The continued Israeli attacks are a natural result of international silence over the crimes committed by the Israeli occupation and colonial settlers," she pointed out, stressing that such assaults would never dissuade Palestinian medical workers from assuming their "humanitarian duty."
