West Bank, ALRAY - The Israeli occupation authorities extended Monday the detention of Hamas official Abdel Basit al-Hajj for another four months for the fourth time in a row.

Israeli occupation forces detained al-Hajj, 51, on 10 February 2020 after storming his home in Jalqamus village near the occupied West Bank city of Jenin.

An Israeli court then issued him a six-month administrative detention order.

The Israeli occupation has been holding al-Hajj under administrative detention for more than a year and has extended his imprisonment without charge or trial.

A married father of three children, al-Hajj had been jailed for a total of over 18 years in Israeli occupation prisons, mostly under administrative detention.

The Hamas official suffers from several health problems, including a slipped disc and angina attacks.
