Jerusalem, ALRAY - Israeli occupation forces released on Sunday Palestinian detainee Saher Ismail Aman from the city of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.

The Ministry of Detainees' Affairs in Gaza said that detainee Aman was released after 15 years of detention in Israeli prisons.

Israeli occupation forces detained Aman at the Beit Hanoun crossing - Erez checkpoint on the 10th of October 2007 after being injured in the foot and on his way for treatment in the West Bank.

Following his detention, Aman was transferred to Israeli interrogation cells and was sentenced to 15 years in prison on charges of allegedly belonging to a Palestinian organization and resisting the occupation.
