West Bank, ALRAY - An Israeli occupation court extended on Wednesday the administrative detention order of Palestinian detainee Ahmed Jamal Azzam from Salfit just three days before the date of his release.
Azzam's wife and ex-detainee, Bayan Far’oun, said that the Israeli authorities extended her husband's detention for another six months, knowing that he was scheduled to be released next Friday.
Far’oun added that she gave birth to their first-born, Khattab, on Monday; however, the father was deprived of being with his family. She stressed that her family will remain resilient until her husband’s freedom.
Israeli occupation forces detained Azzam, who has spent 7 years in Israeli occupation prisons, on the 29th of April 2022 after a large force stormed his home, searched it, damaged its contents and confiscated many personal belongings before transferring him to the Maskubiyeh detention and investigation center.
