Occupied Jerusalem, ALRAY - Dozens of illegal Israeli settlers headed by Member of the Knesset for Likud extremist Yehuda Glick broke on Tuesday morning into the courtyards of the al-Aqsa Mosque Compound via the Mughrabi gate.

Islamic Waqf Department in occupied Jerusalem said that at least 177 settlers headed by Yehuda Glick stormed the mosque and provocatively toured its courtyards.

The department pointed out that the settlers also performed Talmudic rituals in the eastern side of al-Aqsa Mosque.

It indicated that Israeli police stationed at the entrances to the mosque keep imposing strict procedures on the Palestinians seeking to enter the mosque, including detaining some of their IDs at the gates, especially the youths’ IDs.

In the same context, worshipers, educational students, and guards of the al-Aqsa mosque who were present there defended it by chants and Takbeer (saying Allah Akbar), and hampered the settlers from roaming it freely.

It’s noteworthy that the al-Aqsa mosque Compound exposes on a daily basis to the storming of the Israeli settlers, at which they perform Talmudic rituals and discrete its sanctity.
