Jenin, ALRAY - The Israeli military court has renewed the administrative detention order for six consecutive months against Palestinian detainee Rayyan Estiti.

Asra Media Office reported that the Israeli occupation forces assaulted the citizen Estiti and detained him on June 28, 2021, after storming and ransacking his home in Jenin.

The office pointed out that Israeli court has renewed the administrative detention order at the recommendation of the Israeli intelligence, allegedly for posing a threat against the security of the occupation state.

According to Palestinian figures, about 4,800 Palestinians, including 34 women and 160 children, are currently languishing in Israeli detention jails.

Among them, close to 600 Palestinians are currently being held under Israel’s illegal policy of administrative detention, under which prisoners can be held for renewable six-month periods without charge or trial.
