Jerusalem, ALRAY - An Israeli court has extended the solitary confinement of six Palestinian detainees who freed themselves from "Gilboa" prison for another six months, Khaled Mahajna, a lawyer with the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs, said Thursday.

Mahajna added that the so-called Lod District Court ordered the six men to be kept in solitary confinement in different prisons.

As for Palestinian detainee Mohammed Abu Baker, who was detained for allegedly aiding and abetting the six men who freed themselves from the Israeli prison, the Israeli court extended his solitary confinement.

The six Palestinian detainees are being held in harsh conditions as the Israeli prison administration continues to oppress and harass them and deny them their most basic rights.
