Occupied WB, ALRAY - Palestinian detainee in Israeli occupation jails Imad Fahal has been on hunger strike for five days, demanding an end to his solitary confinement, Commission of Detainees’ Affairs said on Tuesday.

The commission pointed out that the detainee Fahal is incarcerated by the Israeli occupation authorities in solitary confinement inside the Ayalon prison, under very harsh and inhumane conditions.

It indicated that the Ayalon prison is one of the worst Israeli prisons, noting that the Palestinian detainees who are languishing inside it suffer terribly.

A resident of the Kobar village in Ramallah, the detainee Fahal was detained by the Israeli occupation forces in 2012 and sentenced to 26 years in prison.

According to Palestinian figures, about 4,500 Palestinians, including 32 women and 160 children, are currently languishing in Israeli detention jails.
