West Bank, ALRAY -Minister of Israeli army Benny Gantz warned on Tuesday of the possibility of a security escalation, due to the actions of the next government of Benjamin Netanyahu.

Hebrew channel 12 quoted Gantz as saying “if the Netanyahu government behaves irresponsibly, it could cause a security escalation.”

He added that he even gave instructions to his security agencies or those in contact with him to get ready for the possibility of escalation as a result of developments in general, and in the month of Ramadan in particular.

“The next Israeli government will undoubtedly be very extremist, but he respects the outcome of the elections,” stressing that “he will not join the government of Benjamin Netanyahu because of its racism and religious extremism that is being raised in every corner.”

On Thursday, December 29, the Israeli Knesset will vote to grant confidence to the Netanyahu government, according to the official Israeli Broadcasting Corporation.

It is noteworthy that Netanyahu held the position of prime minister for the first time between 1996 and 1999, and then for a continuous period of 12 years between 2009 and 2021.
