Gaza, ALRAY - The Israeli occupation army has killed 20 Palestinian children in the besieged Gaza Strip over the past year, according to a Palestinian human rights organization.
The Al-Mezan Centre for Human Rights pointed out that 170 Palestinian children were wounded last year during the repeated Israeli attacks on the blockaded Gaza Strip.
In 2022, the Israeli occupation military detained 23 Palestinian children near Gaza's eastern fence, the NGO added in its report.
Two Palestinian schools sustained partial damage and 69 housing units, inhabited by 322 people, including 110 women and 111 children, have been destroyed across the Gaza Strip during the bombing campaigns launched by the Israeli occupation army over the past year.
The Gaza-based rights organisation explained that three Palestinian children have died after being denied permits to access treatment in the occupied West Bank, Jerusalem, and the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948.
Al-Mezam said that it had received 300 complaints about Palestinian children being denied access to medical care abroad over the last year.
