Jerusalem, ALRAY - Israeli occupation authorities transferred on Monday a Palestinian youth from Shu’fat camp, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, to administrative detention.
According to local sources, Israeli occupation forces detained Malek Muheisen from his home in Shu’fat camp and transferred him to administrative detention for four months.
Muheisen is an ex-detainee who was subjected to house detention and deportation from Al-Aqsa Mosque.
In a related context, the Israeli occupation authorities have imposed house detention on seven Palestinian Jerusalemite boys from Wadi al-Rababa neighborhood in Silwan and the Old City of Jerusalem.
During 2022, occupied Jerusalem witnessed Israeli large-scale detention campaigns targeting Palestinian Jerusalemites, where 3,504 detentions were documented, including women, elderly people and children.
Moreover, 214 house detentions were also documented, ranging from five to 15 days, in addition to decisions for open house detention without specifying the period, as well as imposing heavy fines against them.
