Jerusalem, ALRAY - An Israeli military court extended the detention of a Palestinian held without charge or trial for another six months for the fourth time in a row.

According to the Asra Media Office, the Israeli military court renewed the administrative detention order issued against Esrar Ma'arouf, 22, for another six months.

The Israeli occupation army detained Ma'arouf, a student at Birzeit University, after violently assaulting him during a raid on his home in Ein Qiniya village near the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah on 10 August 2021.

Two weeks after his detention, the Israeli military court of "Ofer" issued Ma'arouf a six-month administrative detention order.

One day before his first administrative detention order was set to end, the Israeli military court extended his detention for six months without charge for the second time, and then for another six months for the third time.

A diabetic patient whose health condition is deteriorating, Ma'arouf has had his administrative detention renewed for the fourth time at the request of the Israeli occupation intelligence service.
