West Bank, ALRAY - Israeli radical rabbi Yehuda Glick, accompanied by scores of Israeli colonial settlers, have broken into the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.
According to the Jerusalem Islamic Waqf department, dozens of Israeli colonial settlers, led by the ultra-extremist, far-right rabbi Glick, stormed into the Al-Aqsa compound through Al-Maghariba gate.
During the incursion, the Israeli colonial settlers carried out provocative tours across the Al-Aqsa Mosque and performed religious rituals in the eastern part of the Muslim sacred site.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation authorities restricted the access of Palestinian worshippers from Jerusalem and the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948 to the Al-Aqsa compound and seized the ID cards of some of them at its outer gates.
The Israeli occupation has recently imposed severe restrictions and measures on Palestinian worshippers seeking to access the Al-Aqsa Mosque in a bid to undermine the Palestinian presence at the compound.
In recent months, the Al-Aqsa Mosque has been subjected to near-daily violations and raids by Israeli colonial settlers in a bid to impose a temporal and spatial division at the mosque.
