West Bank, ALRAY - Al-Asra Media Office stated on Tuesday that 120 Palestinian detainees held in the Negev prison decided to continue their hunger strike for the second consecutive day.
Al-Asra Media Office said that the strike comes in protest against the Israeli arbitrary measures imposed by the prison administration against them.
The Ministry of Detainees and Ex-Detainees in Gaza said that the atmosphere at the "Negev" prison has been tense for the fourth consecutive day, adding that the number of striking detainees in the Negev prison is likely to rise in the coming hours in light of the dangerous escalation practiced by the Israeli prison administration against the detainees.
In the same context, the Ministry added that the Israeli prison administration imposed harsh penalties on the Palestinian detainees in sections 26 and 27, by cutting off electricity and hot water and depriving the detainees of food.
