Occupied Jerusalem, ALRAY - Israeli occupation authorities approved on Thursday two construction plans southern occupied Jerusalem in Al-Thawri neighborhood, parts of Jabal Mukaber lands and Sur Baher, and in the settlements of "Kiryat Yovel" and "Arnona", that estimated to 1200 settlement units.

The plan is to construct Al-Quds Al-Thawry Street - Abu Tor, with 1,70 settlement units that includes commercial employment areas and public buildings, while it will construct 160 settlement units on the cross roads of Jerusalem-Hebron Streets in Arnona settlement, it will be built in a 30-storey tower and a 10-storey building.

Data from the left-wing Israeli "Peace Now" movement indicates that there are about 700,000 settlers, 145 large settlements, and 140 random outposts, unlicensed by the occupation government, in the West Bank, including occupied East Jerusalem.

International law considers the West Bank and "East Jerusalem" occupied territory, and all settlement construction there is illegal.
