Occupied Jerusalem, ALRAY - An Israeli court has issued a prison term to a teenage Palestinian boy and postponed the trial of a young man from occupied Jerusalem.

According to the Wadi Hilweh Information Centre, the Israeli court postponed the trial of Hussien Essa until 1 March.

Israeli occupation forces detained Essa during a raid on his home in the Batan al-Hawa neighbourhood on 22 November 2022 and moved him to a detention facility in the west of occupied Jerusalem for questioning.

Meanwhile, the Israeli court sentenced Abdel Rahman al-Razim, a Palestinian boy from occupied Jerusalem, to 21 months in prison.

According to Palestinian figures, about 4,500 Palestinians, including 32 women and 160 children, are currently languishing in Israeli detention jails.

Among them, more than 680 Palestinians are currently being held under “Israel’s” illegal policy of administrative detention without charge or trial.
