Gaza, ALRAY - The Palestinian Ministry of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs has held the Israeli occupation fully responsible for the continued detention of a sick Palestinian woman from the occupied West Bank city of Nablus.
The Israeli occupation army detained Raja'a Karsou'a, 49, after storming and ransacking her home in Balata refugee camp in the early hours of Monday morning.
The 49-year-old woman suffers from several chronic diseases and had undergone surgeries to her feet.
She also has back troubles and difficulty breathing and suffers from difficulty breathing, the ministry added, noting that Israeli occupation forces prevented her from taking her medicines when she was detained.
In a press statement, the ministry called on the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to immediately intervene and press the Israeli occupation to release Karsou'a and follow up with her condition.
According to Palestinian figures, about 4,500 Palestinians, including 32 women and 160 children, are currently languishing in Israeli detention jails.
Among them, more than 680 Palestinians are currently being held under “Israel’s” illegal policy of administrative detention without charge or trial.
