Occupied Jerusalem, ALRAY - Extremist colonial Israeli settlers broke into the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem on Wednesday morning, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.

The Jerusalem Islamic Waqf department said that dozens of fanatic colonial Israeli settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque through Al-Maghariba gate.

During the incursion, the colonial settlers toured the Al-Aqsa compound and performed religious rituals inside the Muslim sacred site.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation authorities restricted the access of Palestinian worshippers to the mosque, seizing their ID cards at its outer gates and banning dozens of them from entering the compound.

Colonial Israeli settlers, escorted by Israeli occupation forces, break into the Al-Aqsa Mosque on a near-daily basis in a bid to impose a new fait accompli at the Muslim compound.
