Occupied Jerusalem, ALRAY - General strike involved on Sunday a number of towns in occupied Jerusalem which is the first step of nonviolent insurrection that national and Islamic forces called for in protest against Israeli occupation policy and crimes.
All entrances to Shuafat camp, Al-Isawiya, Anata and Al-Ram towns were closed at three o’clock at dawn. The forces called for boycotting Israeli occupation with all means, and asked Palestinian workers not to head to their work places within occupied Palestine of 1948.
Clashes broke out between Palestinian youths and Israeli forces Sunday morning at the entrances of Al-Isawiya village and Jabal Al-Mukaber, no injuries reported.
The insurrection comes in response to the occupation’s daily crimes against the Palestinians, including killings, arrests, and home demolitions, and in protest against the abuse, oppression, and daily attacks on the Shuafat military checkpoint that the people of Shuafat camp and Anata town are subjected to.
