Jerusalem, ALRAY - The Palestinian national factions and human rights groups organized sit-ins in the Gaza Strip in solidarity with Palestinian detainees in Israeli occupation jails.
Dozens of Palestinians, including figures from several Palestinian factions, attended a rally in Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.
During the protest, Hammam Abu Mor, a member of the Palestinian Popular Struggle Front, held the Israeli occupation fully responsible for the safety and wellbeing of the Palestinian detainees.
Abu Mor called for intensifying popular solidarity with Palestinian detainees and endorsing their rights until they regain their freedom.
Meanwhile, a similar sit-in was staged in the northern Gaza Strip.
Speaking at the rally, Hamas spokesperson Abdel Latif al-Qanoa stressed that the repressive measures imposed by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian detainees would not break their will.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian Ministry of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs launched an online campaign demanding the release of all Palestinian detainees in Israeli occupation jails.
The Palestinian detainees continue their mass civil disobedience actions announced about a month ago to protest against the arbitrary and punitive measures imposed against them by the extremist Israeli minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.
The Israeli occupation is holding some 4,780 Palestinian detainees, including 30 women and around 160 children, according to Palestinian prisoners' rights organisations.
