Occupied WB, ALRAY - Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Tuesday detained at least 16 Palestinian people during a wide campaign of raids and detentions across the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem.


In Nablus, the Israeli occupation forces detained five people after breaking into several areas in the city, resulting in confrontations with Palestinian people.


Locals said that the detainees were identified as Ameer and Omar Fatoom, Khaled and Momen al-Taweel, and Mohammed Darawsha.


As to Jenin, the Israeli occupation forces detained three people after storming their homes in the city’s town of al-Yamoun. The three people were named later as Ali al-Jabari, Majd Frihat, and Ahmad Abu al-Hija.


In addition, the Israeli occupation forces broke into Bethlehem, raided several homes, and detained three people: Ahmad Katana, Jamal al-Issa, and Zaid Sadouq.


Moreover, the Israeli occupation forces detained the citizen Mahmoud Shiekha after raiding and ransacking his home in al-Bireh.


Regarding occupied Jerusalem, the Israeli occupation forces detained three youths. They were later identified as Amir al-Kiswani, and Bilal and Qassam Halabiya.


Israeli occupation forces routinely carry out arrest raids in the occupied West Bank. Around 40 percent of Palestinian men living in the occupied territories have been detained by ‘Israel’ at some point in their lives.   


It is now holding 4,780 Palestinian detainees, including 29 female detainees and around 160 children, in its prisons, according to Palestinian prisoners' rights groups.
