Jerusalem, ALRAY - A Palestinian prisoners' rights organization has held the Israeli occupation fully for the health and well-being of Palestinian detainee Khader Adnan who has been on an open-ended hunger strike for 51 days to protest his detention without charge.
The Palestinian Prisoners Club said that Adana, a 44-year-old resident of Arraba in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin, has started vomiting blood as his condition is deteriorating.
Held in the notoriously-underequipped Ramla prison clinic, Adnan suffers from severe pains and cannot speak or concentrate.
Despite his critical condition, the Israeli prison administration has imposed a number of punitive measures against Adnan.
Such measures include refusing to provide him with clothes and preventing him from taking a shower since he was detained by the Israeli occupation army on 5 February.
The Israeli prison service is holding Adana in inhumane and harsh conditions in a cold cell infested with insects and bugs.
