Gaza, ALRAY - The Israeli occupation army has destroyed 57 Palestinian housing units during its aggression against the besieged Gaza Strip, a human rights group said Saturday.
Al-Mezan Center for Human Rights explained that 58 Palestinian families comprising 374 people, including 133 children and 53 women, were made homeless after the Israeli occupation army bombed their houses.
The rights organization added that 300 more housing units sustained partial damage during the heavy Israeli bombing of the blockaded Gaza Strip.
According to the Gaza-based rights group, 33 Palestinians, including six children and four women, and 147 more, including 48 children and 26 women, were injured during the violent Israeli aerial attacks against Gaza.
The Israeli occupation army carried out several aerial attacks on areas located near health facilities during its offensive against Gaza.
The rights organization pointed out that Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip, and the Indonesian hospital in northern Gaza, in addition to two primary healthcare clinics in Khan Younis and northern Gaza sustained partial damage during the heavy Israeli bombardment.
The Israeli occupation closed all crossings with the Gaza Strip during its aggression, aggravating the humanitarian situation in the blockaded enclave.
Meanwhile, the Union of Gaza Strip Municipalities warned of an "environmental and health catastrophe" threatening Gaza's residents as vital facilities, including wastewater treatment plants and water wells, were brought to a halt due to the lack of fuel supplies.
The group noted that Gaza's sole power plant was also facing shutdown due to the depletion of fuel supplies into the besieged strip.
