Jerusalem, ALRAY - An Israeli military court has extended the arbitrary imprisonment of Palestinian detainee Khalid al-Nawabit for another six months without charge or trial.
The Palestinian Prisoners Club (PPC) said that the Israeli occupation army detained al-Nawabit in November 2022.
Since then he was held under administrative detention without charge despite his critical condition.
Al-Nawabit suffers from serious heart problems and is in dire need of open-heart surgery.
Over the past weeks, his health has dramatically deteriorated as he suffers from new severe symptoms due to deliberate medical negligence in Israeli occupation prisons.
Despite multiple calls for his early release and an end to his arbitrary incarceration, the Israeli occupation authorities renewed al-Nawabit's detention without charge but based on "secret evidence".
The PPC held the Israeli occupation prison service fully responsible for the life and well-being of al-Nawabit, calling for an end to his arbitrary imprisonment.
A married father of four, al-Nawabit had been jailed for a total of seven years by the Israeli occupation authorities.
