West Bank, ALRAY - A Palestinian ex-detainee has succumbed to injuries that he sustained after the Israeli occupation army shot him during a pre-dawn raid into the occupied West Bank city of Jenin.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health said that Ashraf Ibrahim, 37, died of his serious wounds after being shot with two internationally-prohibited explosive bullets.

One of the bullets hit his abdomen, causing severe damage to his liver, while the other one struck his chest, penetrating one of his lungs, the ministry explained.

The Israeli occupation army shot and wounded eight Palestinian citizens and detained six more after breaking into several neighborhoods across Jenin at dawn.

The Israeli occupation army and colonial settlers have killed 153 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip since the start of the year.
