West Bank, ALRAY - Palestinian worker sustained injuries on Saturday evening by Israeli occupation forces' gunfire near the separation wall constructed on the lands of Qalqilya Governorate while attempting to reach his workplace inside the 1948 territories.

According to local sources, Palestinian worker from the village of Iskaka, east of Salfit, was shot in the foot near the separation wall. He was immediately transferred to a hospital for medical treatment.

The incident highlights the ongoing tensions and risks faced by Palestinian workers attempting to access their workplaces located within the 1948 territories. The separation wall, considered a symbol of oppression and discrimination, has been a source of frequent clashes and injuries for Palestinians.

Israeli occupation authorities have not yet provided an official statement regarding the incident. The shooting incident has once again raised concerns over the safety and well-being of Palestinians living in close proximity to the separation barrier and their ability to pursue livelihood opportunities while facing the threat of violence.

Palestinian rights organizations and activists continue to advocate for an end to such incidents and the dismantling of the separation wall, emphasizing the importance of ensuring the safety and rights of Palestinians in their daily lives.
