Jerusalem, ALRAY - The Israeli occupation Knesset (parliament) is set to discuss two racist draft bills allowing the imprisonment of Palestinian children and imposing so-called "administrative detention" against Palestinian citizens in the pre-1948 occupied Palestinian territories.

The so-called Israeli ministerial committee on legislation will discuss a draft bill submitted by member of the Israeli occupation Knesset, Yitzhak Kreuzer, imposing jail terms for Palestinian children aged 12 years or above.

The Israeli lawmaker of the "Otzma Yehudit" party, headed by the extremist minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir, also proposed another draft bill imposing so-called administrative detention – a misnomer for holding detainees without charge or trial – against Palestinian citizens of the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948.

The racist draft bill was submitted under the pretext of tackling crime and violence in the Palestinian communities.

Human rights groups have warned against the passing of both laws targeting Palestinian children and citizens of historic Palestine.
