West Bank, ALRAY - The Israeli occupation authorities have extended the arbitrary imprisonment of two Palestinians held under so-called "administrative detention" without charge or trial.

The Israeli military court of "Salem" renewed the administrative detention of Rabie Hamad for another six months for the second time in a row.

According to the Asra Media Office, the Israeli occupation army re-detained the ex-detainee after summoning him for questioning on 17 December 2022.

One week after moving him to the "Ofer" detention facility, an Israeli military court issued Hamad a six-month administrative detention order without charge.

When his first administrative detention order was set to end, the Israeli military court renewed Hamad's arbitrary incarceration based on "secret evidence" at the request of the Israeli occupation intelligence service.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military court of "Salem" extended the administrative detention of Mousa Hamed for four months for the third consecutive time.

The Israeli occupation army re-detained Hamed after storming and ransacking his home in Ramallah in the central occupied West Bank on 20 June 2022.

After transferring him to the "Ofer" detention facility for questioning, the Israeli occupation authorities issued Hamed a six-month administrative detention order.

Hamed had his arbitrary imprisonment extended for another six months without charge.

The Israeli military court renewed Hamed's administrative detention for the third time based on "secret evidence" at the request of the Israeli occupation intelligence service.

So far, Hamed has been held under administrative detention without charge or trial for one year.

Administrative detention is a widely-condemned form of imprisonment that allows the Israeli occupation to hold Palestinians without charge or trial for renewable periods of time based on "secret evidence" in a stark violation of international humanitarian law.

The Israeli occupation is holding at least 1,016 Palestinians under administrative detention without charge, including six children and one woman, according to the Palestinian Prisoners Club.
