Occupied WB, ALRAY - Israeli colonial settlers on Saturday set fire to swathes of Palestinian farmland in the occupied northern West Bank city of Nablus.

According to local sources, a group of Israeli colonial settlers torched tracts of farmland in the south of Burin town in southern Nablus, setting dozens of trees ablaze.

Under the protection of the Israeli occupation army, the colonial settlers also violently attacked local citizens as they were trying to put out the fire.

Since the start of the year, the Israeli occupation army and colonial settlers have committed at least 4,073 attacks against Palestinian citizens and their property in the occupied West Bank, according to the Colonisation and Wall Resistance Commission.

The attacks included vandalising and razing swathes of farmland, cutting down trees, seizing private property, and shootings.

Nearly 700,000 Israeli colonial settlers now live in more than 250 illegal settlements and outposts across the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem in violation of international law.
