Occupied Jerusalem, ALRAY - Israeli extremist settlers raided on Wednesday morning the revered Al-Aqsa Mosque, with heightened Israeli occupation police presence, via the Moroccan Gate.
The Islamic Waqf Department in occupied Jerusalem reported that dozens of settlers infiltrated Al-Aqsa Mosque, provoking tensions as they roamed its courtyards and received explanations about the alleged "Temple."
The settlers reportedly conducted Talmudic rituals in the Bab al-Rahma area east of the mosque, amidst provocation of the present worshippers.
Israeli police have been imposing stringent restrictions on the entry of worshippers coming from Jerusalem and the occupied territories into Al-Aqsa Mosque. They scrutinize their identities, detain some at the external gates, and intermittently ban scores from entering.
Jerusalemites have intensified calls for a steadfast and continuous presence at Al-Aqsa Mosque, aiming to thwart the colonization and Judaization schemes of both the occupation and settlers, particularly in anticipation of the upcoming Jewish holidays
