Occupied Jerusalem , ALRAY - Israeli National Security Minister, the extremist Itamar Ben Gvir, approved a substantial budget on Sunday for the Judaization and expansion of sovereignty over Jerusalem.
According to the Hebrew channel 14, the allocated funds will be invested in bolstering security control over east of Jerusalem. His ministry intends to implement a five-year plan aimed at enhancing security for settlers in the eastern part of the city, with a budget reaching 120 million shekels.
The decision was formulated in coordination between Israeli Ministry of National Security, the Ministry of Jerusalem and Heritage, as well as the Jerusalem municipality and the Ministry of Finance. The designated objectives for this budget have been identified.
In this context, the number of police personnel and municipal police will be increased, along with security reinforcement around educational institutions. Additionally, plans for the construction of new police centers will move forward, as well as the establishment of police points in the neighborhoods of east of Jerusalem.
Ben Gvir was quoted following the budget's approval, stating that this is an additional and crucial step in their struggle to restore personal security in their claimed capital. "We have allocated a budget for the police where we will raise salaries and increase police personnel to work on enhancing sovereignty and personal security in Jerusalem and the entire Israel."
